Everyone has their own fair share of struggles and pain in their lifetime. Everybody hides pain in them which are not confessed to anyone. Even coming to terms and accepting those are filled with rugged experiences. Andrew Arteaga’s name has now become synonymous with the most famous celebrity artist. Well, the journey for him was not that easy, not even moderately convenient and pleasant. His journey includes the constant struggle to survive with dignity, fighting against the discrimination against the minority he belonged from. In his early years of childhood, he grew up in a neighbourhood where almost everyone was indulged in negative things. He grew up with any father, father figure or even somebody who could guide him towards the right path of life. With all these in his environment, it was extremely strenuous for him to decide what is right and what is wrong.
Andrew resorted to art and creativity to escape his dreadful reality. The world of art and creativity was a fantasy world for him where he felt the lacking comfort. Additionally, he had a keen interest in music also, which sparked a fire within him. That sparked fire led him to practice physical art; he started to win several competitions throughout his time in middle school and high school. His parents did not support him when he started getting better at drawing and wanted to pursue it further. His parents had disbelief and misconception regarding art as a real career option in life. They continuously discouraged him, this completely demotivated him. Soon, meeting the ends meet became an arduous struggle, he got involved in some negative things around this time. He was found guilty by law and he was sentenced to two years in jail, where he got his first tattoo.
However, after some time back in the regular world, Andrew’s stepdad observed his stepson’s strong passion that he had for art, creativity and gifted him with a tattoo kit. Andrew never looked back after that sweet and thoughtful gesture by his stepdad. He just looked forward and overcame all challenges and hurdles that fell into his path of success. He got his big break after hardcore practice for long eight years. That’s why all his artistic inspirations have deep roots in his painful past.
